The tool does not ask for a name, email address, postcode, photograph or precise location. It does not set analytics, advertising or marketing cookies.
How answers are processed
JavaScript in the page calculates a result from the selected options. The choices exist only in the page while it is open and are cleared when you reset or leave.

Links to NHS and related editorial sites open normal web pages governed by their own privacy practices. They receive no copy of your tool answers.
Future changes
Any future upload or expert-review feature would require a separate consent, retention and security design. It is not part of this version.
Limits and sources
This page supports triage, not diagnosis. Health wording follows current NHS guidance. Identification logic uses visible anatomy, movement and harbourage evidence; an intact specimen reviewed by a competent expert remains stronger.
