The checker sends nothing
A script in the page works out a result from the options you pick. Your answers stay in the page while it is open. They vanish when you reset or leave. No photo ever uploads.
The optional enquiry form
If you choose to send an enquiry, the form sends only the fields you submit. These fields are your name, phone number, postcode and the service you chose. If you add an email address or notes, those go too. We pass these to our lead system and on to a pest-control professional. That person may contact you.
Our legal basis is your consent, which you give when you press send. We keep your details only as long as needed to handle the enquiry. However, you can ask us to remove them. Just use the contact page.
Analytics only if you accept
We use Google Analytics 4 to count visits, but only after you press Accept on the banner. Until then it stays off, because Google Consent Mode v2 starts in a denied state. Google says GA4 does not log or store IP addresses, and we turn off advertising signals.
Declining or ignoring the banner leaves analytics off. We set no marketing cookies.
Changing your choice
Your browser stores your banner choice. To change it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings. The banner will then appear again.

Links to the NHS and other sites open pages with their own privacy rules. Those sites get no copy of your checker answers. For any privacy question, use the contact page.
Limits and sources
This page supports triage, not diagnosis. Health wording follows current NHS guidance. Identification logic uses visible anatomy, movement and harbourage evidence; an intact specimen reviewed by a competent expert remains stronger.
